01 : AIRPORT / KANDY
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, met
by "Spelndidsri
lanka"Representatives and transfer to a Hotel in
Kandy.
SPICE
GARDEN
Visit a spice garden at mavanella which grows spices and herbs used for
Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early
sea faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious
merchandise.
P.m.
Visit art and craft centre and Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary
film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done.
enjoy
a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming Dancing music and fire
walking.
TEMPLE
OF THE TOOTH OF RELIC
Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. This temple,
the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th
Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic.
Sight
seeing of kandy including Upper Lake Drive.
Overnight

DAY
02 : KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA
After Breakfast, leave for Nuwara Eliya.

route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & the Botanical Garden Peradeniya.
ELEPHANT
ORPHANAGE
visit the Elephant Orphanage, the foster – home of elephants of
different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating.
These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There
are even little baby calves born in captivity.
BOTANICAL
GARDEN
Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and
later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime Proceed
to Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 6000 feet above sea level.
The
drive will be through refreshing Tea Plantations covering the hills like
carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize you.
TEA
FACTORY
Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory en route. Sri Lanka being famous
for its “Ceylon Tea” adding cheer to many the world over for
more than a century.
Arrive
in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage
type bungalows and the colonial air. ( Nuwara Eliya is also known as “Little
England”)
SITA
TEMPLE & CITY TOUR
Leave for Sight Seeing of Nuwara Eliya which includes visits to the 18
Hole Golf course and Sita temple where King Rawana kept Sitadevi.
Overnight
stay at Hotel in St. Andrews Hotel – Nuwara Eliya.
DAY
03 : NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Mount Lavinia.

route visit film site of Bridge on the river kwaii, view two water falls
Devon Fall and St. Clairs Fall.

04 : COLOMBO / CITY TOUR / AIRPORT
Breakfast at Hotel.

The City Tour will include places of Tourist interest such as Old parliament,
Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Buddhist Hindu Temple
and Town Hall.
Shopping
at Odel, House of Fashion, Bare foot etc.

noon Leave for Airport for Departure.
