DAY 01 : AIRPORT / SIGIRIYA.
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, met by "Spelndidsri lanka"Representatives and transfer to a Hotel in Sigiriya.
Check in Hotel Sigiriya and leisure.

SIGIRIYA - 08TH WONDER OF WORLD
The rock of Sigiriya was the fortress of a king of the 5th centaury A.D. and is pronounced the eight wonder of the world. This citadel in the sky is a world heritage site, and a great attraction. It’s gardens and terraces laid with water gardens fountains, Boulder Gardens cave Dwellings, Magnificent fresco paintings of the world famous Ladies of Sigiriya, The Mirror wall, The “Gigantic Lions” paws, The ruins of the palace and royal bath certainly tell us of the aesthetic sense of the king who exploited the skills and labour of his people to achieve his Dream.

DAY 02 : SIGIRIYA / POLLONNARUWA / SAFARI / SIGIRIYA

Breakfast at Hotel. Afternoon Leave for Pollonnoaruwa.

POLLONNARUWA
2nd Capital of Sri Lanka, City Tour including visits to the Gal Vihara with its majestic rock statues of the Buddha in standing, reclining and seated forms, the Thuparamaya, the princes’ pond, Lankathilaka Viharaya and the relic houses of Watadageya, Hatadageya and the Atadageya.

Next visit the National Park at Minneriya.
SAFARI MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK
visit Minneriya National Park. This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals such as elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too in their natural habitat. You could also see many species of birds, offering a small experience to bird watchers.

Return to Sigiriya.

DAY 03 : SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / KANDY
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Kandy.
En route visit
CAVE TEMPLE
Which contains more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. This was where a king of the 1st Century B.C. took refuge and latter converted them into a monastery.

Next Visit
SPICE GARDEN
Spice garden at Matale, where spices and herbs used for the Sri Lankan cuisine and medication are grown. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise.

p.m. Visit art and craft centre and Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done.

Enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming Dancing music and fire walking.

TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC
Next Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic.

City tour of Kandy and Sight seeing including Upper Lake Drive and visit to Art and Craft Centres.

DAY 04 : KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA.
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Nuwara Eliya.
En route visit Elephant Orphanage.
ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
the foster – home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity.

Next Visit
BOTANICAL GARDEN
Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime.

Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 6000 feet above sea level.
The drive will be through refreshing Tea Plantations covering the hills like carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize you.

TEA FACTORY
Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory en route. Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea” has added cheer to many the world over for more than a century.

Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air. ( Nuwara Eliya is also known as “Little England”)
NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR
Drive through the little town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Visit the busy market where the tea plantation workers rush in and out with their days provisions. Visit the lake Gregory built for generating power during the British Colonial age but now a feature that adds beauty to the city.

SITA AMMAN TEMPLE
This Temple considered as one of the oldest is said to mark the spot where Rawana held the queen Sita captive, The streamlet that flows by the rock on which the Temple stands on is supposed to be where the queen Sita bathed. Although the story of Rama Sita and Rawana is a legendary epic poem, The evidence such as this sparks off another dimension to imagination. As a Temple much revered, many stop by and step into invoke blessings and favours from the gods.

DAY 05 : NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Colombo via Kithulgala.

En route view two water falls Devon Fall and St. Clairs Fall. Next visit film site of Bridge on the river Kwaii.

p.m. at leisure

Overnight stay at Grand Oriental Hotel – Colombo.

DAY 06 : COLOMBO / AIRPORT
Breakfast at Hotel. Afternoon Leave for Airport. (Late check out)

CITY TOUR
The City Tour will include places of Tourist interest such as Old parliament, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Buddhist Hindu Temple and Town Hall.

Shopping at Odel, House of Fashion, Bare foot etc.
